ANNOUNCEMENT of the EURANDOM Public Lecture

We would like to invite you to attend the fist public lecture of the EURANDOM chair. 

Background
In cooperation  with the department of Mathematics and Computing Sciences at TU/e, the board of EURANDOM has established the “EURANDOM Chair”.

The holder of this rotating position is a very distinguished researcher with an international reputation in one of the research areas represented at EURANDOM. The EURANDOM chair participates in the research programs of the institute, and gives several lectures. One of these lectures is usually addressed to a broader audience. 

EURANDOM Chair
We are pleased to announce that Professor Harry Kesten, Goldwin Smith Professor of Mathematics at Cornell University, is the first one to fill in this position. He will be EURANDOM Chair for the period of October 1 until November 30, 2002.

He will give his
public lecture on October 8 at 16.00 h.
 
Invitation
You are cordially invited to attend the lecture and welcome Professor Kesten. 
There will be a welcome reception with coffee/tea at 15.30, and a reception after the lecture as well.

In order to have a rough idea on attendance, we ask you to fill in the registration form.
