Stochastic Models in Life Sciences – postponed to September 2023
Sep 12, 2022 - Sep 14, 2022
Summary
The aim of this three day bilateral conference is to discuss recent developments at the interface between probability theory and the life sciences. Probabilistic models are instrumental in the understanding and mathematical description of many biological processes. In this workshop we aim at highlighting three themes, corresponding to the three days of the conference.
1. Stochastic models of population dynamics
2. Quantitative developmental biology
3. Stochastic models in neuroscience
These topics have been the subject of intense research in France and the Netherlands in recent years, and the presentations will be given by world-renowned specialists mostly based in both countries. The aim of the conference is to strengthen existing dutch-french collaborations and also to encourage new ones, especially among the younger generation.
