Stochastic Activity Month on “Random Graphs and Complex Networks”

Eurandom Metaforum, 4th floor, Eindhoven, Netherlands

The analysis of complex networks has in recent years started to play a central role in all sorts of applied and theoretical fields of science and technology. The advent of the computer age has resulted in increasing interest in fundamental properties of real-world phenomena appearing for instance in transportation, traffic, communication, energy, biological and social networks. Mathematics has been playing a primary role in establishing what is now referred to (by some) as Network science: a new, fast-growing interdisciplinary scientific field.
